About Steerania

Sharp writing for curious minds

Steerania is for people who are tired of content.

Not information, not ideas, not good writing. Content. The kind produced to fill a slot, game an algorithm, or signal that someone somewhere is being productive. There is a lot of it. It is not what we do.

We publish essays, stories, and the occasional book. Business, culture, history, science, and anywhere else an idea is worth following. The filter is simple: is it worth reading? If the answer is yes, we publish it. If it is not, we do not, regardless of how relevant the topic is or how well it performs on a search engine.

We do not have an agenda beyond that. No particular worldview to push, no brand to protect, no advertisers to keep comfortable. We write under pen names, which gives us complete freedom to say what we actually think.

We assume you can handle a real sentence and a point of view that does not back down halfway through. We edit hard. Inkie makes sure of it, and she carries a pencil with an eraser for a reason. We say the thing plainly, and we do not dress up thin ideas in impressive language. If we cannot say it clearly, we are probably not ready to say it yet.

The images throughout are AI-generated. We use them for context and the occasional bit of fun, and because real artists are out of our budget.

Max ROI runs the jargon section. He earned his place here by being the only person we know who can write a deadpan definition of “synergy” without flinching.
